Vicious attack on Iraq government ministries underscores challenges facing Iraq, US

Scores were killed and hundreds wounded in yet another attack on government ministries in downtown Baghdad. The violence underscores the challenges facing the government as it attempts to plan for elections in January. It also raises questions for American troops. There are still 120,000 US combat troops in Iraq, in addition to 100,000 or so contractors. How will Iraq fare when the US reduces its troops down to the 50,000 non-combat level, which is scheduled for June 2010? Read the full article:
